Rules

  • The fundamental rule that no athlete can receive any help. They must do it on their own.
  • Wet suits are permitted only if the water temperature is below 22 degrees.
  • The helmet must be rigid certified, a bathing cap must be worn but it will be provided for by the event, a shirt and bib number are obligatory during the running portion. Anyone not abiding by these rules risks automatic disqualification.
  • It is forbidden to draft ant cyclist
  • In the transition area, the cyclist must place their own bike on the bike rack and in their reserves spot.
  • At the end of the bike course, the cyclist is required to get off their bike at the indicated line on the ground before entering the transition area

I.T.U. rules will apply.

Team Transition

The transition area is equipped based on ITU Standards

Procedures to follow:

(Triathlon swimmer) and (Duathlon runner) must make contact with the cyclist and with the runner in the bike rack zone that is reserved for the team Traithlon and Duathlon.

IMPORTANT:

The chip must be exchanged between the swimmer/cyclist/runner for the Triathlon and runner/cyclist /runner in the Duathlon.

Stop watch

The chip timing system is provided by ChampionChip.

ChampionChip

Interval times will be taken at the exit of the bike transition area, at the return of the bike portion and at the finish line for individuals and teams.

The results will be posted by Sportstats the day of the event and on our website.

The registration deadline for the youth Triathlon is August 15th. No late admissions will be accepted after this date.

For all other categories, no registrations will be accepted by fax or mail 3 days before the event.

The deadline for pre-registration is Tuesday, August 18th at noon.

Registration the day of the event will have an added fee of $10.00

A transaction fee of $5 will be charged on any Visa or MasterCard payment.
